Friendly Pharmacy is committed to ensuring the safety of our homes and communities. Our Pharmacy proudly offers a Medication Take Back (MTB) service throughout the year, completely free of charge. We encourage members of the community to bring in their old, expired, or unused medications to any Friendly Pharmacy for safe disposal.
Proper disposal of medications is essential to prevent accidental or intentional misuse and to protect our environment by avoiding contamination of landfills. Since the inception of the Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) program in 1999, our collective efforts have resulted in the collection of over 4,677,811 kilograms of unwanted pharmaceuticals and 3,141,828 kilograms of used medical sharps from collection locations across regulated provinces.
